Naming Day Cake

My friend David wanted a butterfly and bunting cake for his nephew Alexander's naming day. His Mum supplied the chocolate cakes to butter cream, (Swiss butter cream) sugar paste and decorate. 
I was very pleased with this cake and it looked so elegant. The butterflies are made of a mixture of sugar paste and Royal Icing.

Romany's Elvis Birthday

 

We all enjoyed the evening of Romany's birthday. We had a meal and was entertained by an Elvis impersonator. Romany wanted a Cat Cake and lots of pink. Raspberry and white chocolate this time.

Mickey Mouse Cake

Zed and Ethan needed a Mickey Mouse Cake for their nieces birthday.

I created this cake. I wanted the cake to look like a big wrapped birthday present.  The kind of thing that kids could not wait to cut!

This cake is chocolate chip and vanilla.....yum.

The only thing uneatable on the cake is Mickey Mouse himself, but he is a great keepsake. All the balloons and everything else is totally edible.

Tim and Anna Lagler's Original Wedding Cake

When Tim and Anna decided to get married in Wells it was a wedding I was really looking forward to. No stuffy expensive wedding clothes needed. Just turn up. Marriage at Wells Registry Office, followed by a wonderful picnic in the grounds of Bishop's Palace, Wells. All this set against a bright and sunny Summer's day.

They asked me to do their cake and they wanted something original. They decided on a water theme with butterflies and dragonflies. 

This is the cake! The cake was banana and chocolate with vanilla buttercream filling.
